To say the end of Winter took an unprecedented twist is an understatement. Spring has been a pleasant treat, with cooperating weather, time for some much needed gardening, and of course fresh air!

Outdoor Market Season is Here!

And with Spring, outdoor market season has arrived. But, it's not market-season as normal. Rules and regulations are in place. Crowds are not encouraged and line-ups are the norm. Patience is so appreciated by everyone.

124 Grand Market

Last Thursday (May 14, 2020), we attended the inaugural 2020 outdoor market. We say inaugural as there are new rules and a new way of shopping the market this year ... in order to ensure everyone is as safe as possible, and we all stay healthy.

Each week, Wildheart Collective - the group behind the 124 Grand Market - will be posting a list of vendors so market-goers can plan ahead for their market time and shop with purpose.

There will be no sampling permitted at the market. This means there'll be NO TWIST & SNIFF for our teas either. We know it's so fun to smell our aromatic loose leaf teas, however, we have no way of sanitizing the tea samples between patrons. We do offer detailed descriptions and flavour profiles for each tea. —Stay tuned for Virtual samplings via 124 Grand Market coming soon!

Patron access will be limited to 50 people at a time, with each section of the market being closely monitored for occupancy to help with maintain physical distancing throughout the market.

Entrance and exit will be separate to accommodate this and an efficient flow of traffic. Market entrance and exits will be posted online as well as on site signage.
Queues will be used to manage market entrance.

Hand sanitation stations will be accessible upon entrance and throughout the market. Patrons will be asked to sanitize their hands before entering the market.

At this time, cloth reusable bags are permitted at the market, but please ensure your bag is clean. Do not put your bag down on our table, please. And, if you do bring your reusable bag, you will be asked to bag your own purchases. 

Please give ourselves and other friendly vendors space. No leaning on tables or over product.

Again, shop with purpose! We know that the market is a great place to hang out and catch up with friends, but both Wildheart Collective and we vendors ask that you pick up your products, your food truck food, and you take it home with you.

Home Delivery Will Continue

We were very impressed last week with the patience patrons showed and with the collective effort put forth by everyone to ensure the health and safety of all in attendance at the market.

We also understand not everyone is comfortable with attending the market due to various reasons, including their own health or the health of someone they reside with. 

In order to accommodate our wonderful customers, we will continue to offer home delivery for those in metro-Edmonton and Vancouver (lower mainland only). This option - if available in your area - will be choosable at checkout. Vancouver Island is unfortunately not open for home delivery, and standard shipping rates will apply. 

Order Pickup

In Edmonton, we've been able to partner with Whimsical Cake Studio to offer order pickups for your tea order. Be sure to check out our partnership and order some cake with your tea! 

Please note, though, Whimsical Cake Studio is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12pm to 6pm during the pandemic. So, orders may take a few days to be ready for pickup. Please have your order confirmation available for Darcy to confirm as she'll be doing curbside pickup for your tea order.

You will receive a notification for when your Cove Tea order is ready for pickup at Whimsical Cake Studio. If possible, please provide your mobile number to help ensure you receive your notification more timely, should you not check your email as regularly.

Order pickups will also be available to our Edmonton and area customers for our market dates. Again, this option will be available at checkout. As we are only currently doing bi-weekly 124 Grand Market Thursday nights, keep this in mind for your order pickup option. The 124 Grand Market runs Thursday 4pm to 8pm for pickup times. 

New market dates and times may come available as more markets are able to open safely and maintain healthy distances for their patrons. Stay tuned for new options.

Shipping For Everyone

We understand how cumbersome shipping costs can be. So, we've taken steps to make it more accessible for everyone. We've introduced $5 Flat Shipping for orders over $75 for customers across Canada. At this time, we are still working towards a solution for our customers outside Canada, so, please be patient as we work on a plan of action.
